Register for 2008 Season NOW !
Register early for the Bruins 2008 football season. There are a limited number of vacancies for
the coming season. Practice begins in late July so fill out the form (see below) and send it in to secure your spot for
the 2008 season on this winning team.

Sign up for the Bruins football team will be held at Dick's Sporting Goods in Columbia. Time
and Dates are:
May 24
(10 AM to 4 PM) & May 25 (Noon to 4 PM)
June 21
(10 AM to 4 PM) & June 22 (Noon to 4 PM)
July 19
(10 AM to 4 PM) & July 20 (Noon to 4 PM) Unlimited weight travel program,
ages 11 to 14

Subject: MUYFA CONGRATES!
TO ALL MY FELLOW MUYFA MEMBERS!
In 1995 when I started Unlimited Weight football in MD, my intent was to provide a place for the Big Guys to learn and
play the greatest game ever. To give these kids an opportunity...and to have fun. I was concerned about equipment, practices,
who will they play, fields, coaches, etc. Last weekend I saw the pinnacle of
the work that I started so many years ago. This could not have occurred with out the support, help and understanding from
each and everyone who has ever been involved in this wonderful program.....and I thank you.
Saturday night at M & T Bank Stadium the Howard Co Bruins played for the Md State Youth Football Championship. Coach
Randy Hall's Bruins played hard and tough throughout the game. The Tigers scored first but the Bruins answered and went ahead
8-6 in the first qtr. The Bruins stopped the Tigers on a 4th down try and took the ball over on downs. In the 3rd qtr the
Tigers scored , taking the lead 12-8. The Bruins answered with a TD and 2 point kick...and take the lead 16-13. Late in the
4th qtr...the Tigers go for it on 4th and one....the Bruins D stuffs the runner and with a minute left in the game, the refs
take a measurement (which was a bad spot in my opinion), and give the Tigers a first and 10 to continue their drive. The Tigers than score the go ahead TD to win the game.
WHAT A GAME! I must say that I am proud of the level of play...the sportsmanship...the team work ...and the character
that the Bruins displayed. I am sure that even though the Bruins were not victorious
on the scoreboard, the memories of playing in this game will be good ones.

Bruins 2007 Important dates to remember!
All practices will run from 6 to
8 pm and be held at Long Reach H.S.
Bruin practices will be 3x a week once
school starts 6 to 8 pm.
Tuesday, Thursday
& Friday.
Playoff games schedule and team standings will
be posted later in the season and are also available on the MUYFA web site http://www.muyfootball.org.
